Threat for false dowry and domestic harassment case

Hello,
I am working in a MNC. I am 30 year old and basically from (UP) by religion I am Hindu. I have married in January 2013. It was an arrange marriage and In- Laws also belongs to Kanpur. My wife is 27 year old and from same cast. she is a house wife.
Now I am describing my problem from starting. I am only son of my parents and my parents are retired teachers. At the time of marriage we did not ask anything (Not a Single Item).
After two months of marriage my wife and In-laws pressured me to live separate from my parents, It was not possible for me I resist for doing this. Then My wife trying to annoyed me and always arguing with me, My family life destroyed and after some time she tried to harass me through threatening that she will claim a dowry and domestic harassment case against me and my family.
Now the situation is a 50-50 for divorce. I am worried about me and my parents, If in future they file for a dowry case, how can I cope with this. I feel that I have not a single proof for opposing this. So how can I collect proof to save me and my family.
Please suggest me to cope with this issue to safe me and my family.

you ought to have retained evidence of having returned all the gold and other items.
in case your wife asks for divorce go for divorce by mutual consent . in consent terms mention that the streedhan has been returned to your wife .
you can also obtain a letter from your wife that all gifts given at time of marriage have been returned . the streedhan is in her possession .

Since you are staying at NOIDA you may shift at NOIDA with your wife and this would vanish the ground of dispute. Try to save you marriage. After marriage no wife would like to live with the parents in laws when the husband is living away.
try to solve the disputes through society and family friends of both sides.

please try to see why she wanted to live separately after two months. Without finding this answer you cannot find peaceful solution.

I was in doubt that she have an affair from past, But now I am sure I have found her call details and feed back form some of her friends.I got to know that she is in this relation from 5-6 years and she is in regular touch with her BF. So right now It is hard for me to continue my relation with her. She is staying with parents from past one and half month and her father is pressurized now to come back her from there. Now I am not in situation to go ahead in life with her. Now I am sure that I need divorce, SO which steps should take.
Should I need to take help of any detective agency to collect proof for her illegal relationship.
Please suggest me how to move ahead on these situation.
