Dear experts
Am an hindu girl married a muslim guy 2 yrs back.my hisband and his family tortured me to the core right from day one. When we got married my husband promised not to bring religion inside our marriage but then n a week he and his family started to behave very badly. I cudnt withstand the pressure and pain anymore so I applied for a divorce and also filed dv case against him and his family. But now in dv court they asked him and his family to appear for which he has filed for an appeal.i want to kno wat will be the process n appeal court . Your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance

sir,they threatened me that if i dont accept their religion and practice they will go for a divorce and that they are already in the process.since i suffered enuf from his family i decided to go for divorce.problem with them is they are not ready to accept what they did was wrong even their lawer threatened me at one point of time... how they wanted to make use of the loop holes and escape.

dont be afraid prodeed your case in appealet court u will get divorce on the bases of cruelty and in dv case u will get protection,home,maintenence

this is per-se no grond for divorce. You need to meet lawyer with all papers.

Whether you converted your religion before marriage or not and how the marriage was performed. It was a nikah or under hindu rituals or through court. If not converted to Muslim before marriage and the marriage was not under special marriage act you can proceed to declare marriage as null.

You may again change your religion to Hindu.
