I would like to ask you how a legal heir certificate can be obtained in Hyderabad, Andhrapradesh.. I mean Time, types, Procedure & expenses..

Legal Heir certificate is issued by Revenue Authorities in Andhra Pradesh. You have apply in the concerned Tahsildar's Office under which the deceased person's domicile falls. Approach the VAO of the concerned area. They will make enquiries and issue the legal heir certificate signed by the Tehsildar.

Both Mr. Malipedi Rao and Mr. NJSR have properly advised. I agree with Mr. NJSR that there is no need for an advocate to handle such issues. The author can approach the concerned Revenue authority/Tahsildar office in person, comply with the necessary formalities and obtain the same as per the procedures laid down (including taking care of the clerks there for an expeditious action)

Thank you all for the replies. But as of now we are informed by the MRO office that we cant get a legal heir certificate any more from MRO office and it should be through courts. Please advice.

In WB legal heir certificate means succession certificate only which can be obtained from competent court of law.

Mr.Pramod the author is from A.P. and the Senior Expert Mr.Malipeddi Jaggarao also had confirmed about A.P. In few states the Legal Heir Certifiates are issued By Revenue Depts Only.That is why I had requested the author to confirm whether it is L.H.C. or Succession certificate which could be only from Court.
