Hi,
My wife have filed a Domestic Violence case against me and other 5 members of the family, case was filed on 24 June 2013.
All the accused have received the summons and have filed there Written Statement in the last date. Now the case will now go up on Argument Stage. I am having my daughters custody who is a physical disable child & she will be undergoing an operation on coming next week, my next date is on 1st march 2014, I want more time to keep me free for next 2-3 months to take care of my child in this situation.
What will be my next move to be secured & take my time for further court process.
Please suggest…. (I have yet not applied for mediation, counseling, should I go for that?)

you can file memo with medical treatment certificate with your requirements.

in case Dv case is filed court refers matter for counselling to enable parties to arrive at an amicable settlement .
on next date you can also request for longer dates on account of your daughter operation . enclose her medical certificate

You can request the court for longer date. Take help of your lawyer.
