E-stamping

Can e-Stamping be done after execution of documents. Unlike franking, is there not a possiblity of misuse of stamping old documents with recent dated e-stamps, pls clarify?

My question was, if date of stamping has any bearing on date of execution of documents.

For example: when two companies are about to sign a commercial document, do both the parties first sign and then take for franking or e-stamping. Can you pls clarify elaborately
