hi,i had done court marriage in 2008 under THE SPECIAL MARRIAGE ACT 1954,from west bengal where i use to live,now after 6 years on my husbands no.a message came that our marriage certificate is going to expire before 31st march 2014,but on our certificate no such validity or expiry period is mentioned,and one thing more in my certificate my original name is given,but in the message my nick name is mentioned.SO tell me that do marriage certificate gets expired,and it is to be renewed again and again..

The marriage certificate does not have any expiry period.
Are you living together? Why he is sending you SMS? What is the real problem.

The SMS received by your husband would be some mischief,Regarding name corrections consult a local advocate.You were worried about your mother in law's property in your previous query and suddenly now you are worried about your marriage it self.

no,its not so, i had just completed my BACHELORS OF LAW, but after receving that sms me and my husband were little worried,actually i also do know that marriage certificate never expires ,but i just wanted to be sure by the help of experts like u THANK YOU VERY MUCH....
