Section 437, 438 and 439 of crpc deal with bail depending upon circumstances.
So decide under which section your case falls.

Dear Mr. Rajkumar Narayan Basawa,

1. The offence u/s 500 -(criminal Defamation) I.P.C. is non-cognizable, bailable and compoundable and triable by J.M.F.C.

2. Since the offense is non-cognizable, the arrest by the police officer is ruled out but since such act is bailable, you file an application and can seek bail u/s 436 Cr.P.C. 1973, by giving a personal bond of certain amount which will be needed to be deposited with the Court.

3. If need be talk to this lawyer with an understanding to pay post paid phone consultation charges.
