Wrongfull medical recovery by hospital?

(Querist) 30 April 2014 This query is : Resolved
I work in It company with having medical insurance and cashless facility

I stay alone ,I had leg injury so checked with orthopedic,I also told him that after surgory as no else to take care of me I need to be hopsitalised till 100% recovery and he agreed

he was very mis communicated me,just 2 days ago surgery did not even gave instructions

today morning I got hospitalised
I persisteed to have instructions like how much days hospitalised etc even at operation time he did not meet and insistted to come at theatre first

when I persisted then he chnaged word ,said post operation my care taking is social issue and its my own responsiblity, everything is oral

then he started arguments and abusive words, and himself cancleed surgory

later hospital supreident and incharge both called me we had discusuin over payment of bills

we had points as below

1) I said its dr's false commitment so he shld pay bills
2) They said I took medical reports ,I cross answered as it was due to dr only

finally they threated me to lock in room till payment gets clear,I ran away

bill was around 7k

what action should be taken against such hospital or should I wait from them?

Doctors or lawyers or with any service provider, before fixing up or engaging their service, the necessary formalities should have been completed as per the requirement of the situation so that embarrassing development at a later stage can be avoided. Now since you have failed to make the terms about the Medical Insurance facilities on the issue in a convincing manner, it is deemed that you have accepted to the conditions of the hospital/clinic for this treatment thus in my opinion, you may be liable to clear the hospital bills. If you still feel that you can contemplate any legal action against hospital authorities or the doctor, consult an expert on the issue and if you feel that you can withstand the challenges that may arise in the future, proceed.

Take another opinion of a doctor and if he support his view then file a case before a consumer forum.

agree with Mr barman

You have not paid the bill and ran away. Let the hospital claim.

Hi
Ran away should not be right word,we met with in charge and then deparated, sorry for my wrong working

it was due to their illegal confining us in ward for recovery

yes get another opinion and file consumer case as suggested by mr barman
