right to easement

(Querist) 19 May 2014 This query is : Resolved
Sir i have a land which does not have any access from all angles, just in front of the land is a government property covering the whole front part of the land and the rest of the sides are covered by agricultural lands and i am the only one having no access to roads to the front and the back. Now what i would like to know is can i alone claim right to easement since i am the only one having this issue..! Would be grateful...!

Is it a real query or an academic one.

How do you access the land at present?
john k (Querist) 20 May 2014
There is a small walkable route through a farmland with bushes around which needs effort which belongs to different owner behind our land. There is a kaccha road at the back part adjacent to the other owner's land, it can be portrayed as a park surrounded by farmlands from all sides and the front as i hv mentioned is a government building completely covering the front part of our land and the govt building is facing the national highway..

Also another option of access is to take permission from the govt building and enter through their main gate which is quite annoying...!

You have to file a civil suit for easement rights based on the documents in your possession. Contact a local lawyer, apprise him of the situation, take his advise and proceed accordingly.
