False case by wife

i am randeep sarkar from pune. i am married since 5 years. now me n my wife had decided to get divorced due to constant quarreling but my wife is threatening to put case of divorce at her native place,Ranchi against me,my parents n my married sister against dowry n physical harassment.kindly guide what to do.

settle issue amicably with your wife . file for divorce by mutual consent . you will get divorce in 6 months . inform your wife if she files false case of dowry harassment and contested divorce you will oppose her application and it would take more than 5 years for her to get divorce .

Try to reach at an amicable solution, contested divorce may take years.

Wife can file cases at her native place.

MUTUAL CONSENT DIVRCE is best option otherwise you have to face the litigation which may run from 7-15 years more and less acceptable

Try and convince her to move mutual consent divorce, if she donot agree, file it from your side.
It is obvious she will file "some" cases against you at her native place, you have no alternative but to contest there itself.

If she is not listening to you and still insists on false cases on you, better take precautionary measures and approach the case.
