Facts not enough to advice, when GM expired, where the property is situated? Consult local lawyer and show him all the documents.

Whether your grand mother's father executed any Will?
Is it his self-acquired property or ancestral?
When your grand mother's father died?
Without the above information, any attempt to give reply is not complete may not be perfect.

If you are the descendants of your grandmother who has been deprived of her share by her brothers, you can claim share of the property as legal heir of your grandmother.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 07 November 2014
I agree to the views of expert Mr. Ganguly.Again here another check is that grandmother's legal heirs cannot be the grand children, she will be having her own children who will have rights over her share in the property and after that the grandchildren of pre-deceased or post deceased heirs can place their claim for their respective share as per their entitlement.
