How to calculate share in ancestral property?

(Querist) 15 March 2015 This query is : Resolved
Family info is as follows:

D (he got ancestral property from his previous generation, 100% this is not self-acquired)

Wife
2 Daughters (1 was married when D died but the other didn't marry at all)
6 Sons

D died in 1979
Wife died in 1992
Unmarried Daughter died in 2003
Married Daughter still alive

So now I want to know the following:

1) How many shares are calculated after D's death?

2) Wife and unmarried daughter didn't have any will.

After death of D total 9 shares. Thereafter death of wife and unmarried daughter there would remain 7 shares provided they are Hindus.
Smita (Querist) 16 March 2015
As per Hindu Succession Act I dont think daughters had any share until 2005 in ancestral property.

But They would get share only in D's 1/7 share which is further divided into 9 shares. Am I right?
