Sir/Madam,

I have been notified that, DKT land is for sale in Andhrapradesh.

Need your help to have clarifications for the below points.

1) DKT Land and DKT Patta are one and the same ? If not , what's the difference.

2) Is Granted/Assigned Land and DKT land are one and the same ? If not , what's the difference.

3) Are we allowed to purchase DKT land ? Considering that current owner of DKT land does not belong to SC/ST.

4) What are the mandatory documents that has to be verified before buying DKT land?

5) Are the registrations allowed for the DKT land especially in AP? and will there be any passbooks issued for DKT land ?

6) Are the bank loans possible on DKT land(as security) ?

7) Are those DKT land's eligible for government subsidies ? such Irrigation drip etc.., ?

@ Author, DKT means Darakastu (application). On applicaiton the lands being given to the poor and downtrodden, who are landless at free of cost. Such lands are not expected to be re-sell. However, many people purchasing such lands, which was illegal, by creating new documents. No government intending to take over such illegally possessed lands.

If the land is allotted to landless, title of such land is not transferred by the government to allottee, hence there is no question of selling it out.

Local law applies, consult local lawyer.

The conditions for selling the land will be printed on the patta document itself, you may go through it and take an opinion from a local lawyer before purchasing the said property.
