I've applied for passport but my file was closed due to different mother name on my birth certificate her name is Geeta Rani on all the doccuments but on B/C its Reena thats why the file was closed & passport executive told to get it corrected by the MCD office. But the MCD declined by saying they cannot change the name but they can add Geeta Rani with reena like "Reena Alias Geeta Rani". So I'm confused will it be valid name to apply again for passport.

No Indian PassPort Would be Issued to An Anonymous.

If the MCD would give you certificate with name as Reeta alias Geeta Rani, prima facie, I am of the personal view that the Passport authority may have to accept the same. Further, you may also produce Notarised Affidavit duly executed by your Mother stating above facts therein.
P.S. "When this Club permits 'anonymous queries', it is felt not proper for the experts to refuse replies to such anonymous queries please".

It is the decision of experts to not to entertain anonymous queries, if somebody wants to reply, it is their choice there is no restriction on it, but as far as possible do not insist on others to do what you want to do Mr. Jose.
