How to cancel power of attorney.

Dear sir,
Can you please tell me how to cancel registered irrevocable power of attorney( without any consideration). I mean to say that I had given the power of attorney without any money transaction mentioned in it.

You can execute cancellation of irrecoverable power of Attorney and issue notice to the Agent (to whom power is given).

If the POA is given without any consideration, it can be challenged. We have to see the purpose and terms decided in the POA.

Just inform the attorney qua cancellation of POA/withdrawal of authority; if the attoney still proceeds, get a cancellation deed registered and published through a local lawyer.

1. GENERAL POA can be revoked, by giving proper Notice to the POA holder under his signature acknowledgement and in the local Newspaper.
2. SPECIFIC purposes POA "CANNOT" be revoked, without a Court order.
