Sir, i am a tenant at Bengaluru. Iam tanant on first floor. After 6 months i came to know that the rent charged for ground floor is less than ours in first floor. What can i do to reduce my rent. Now the 11 montgs are over and owner wanta to have revised new agreement with increased rent. Normally the landlords increase rent every 11 months. They mention abd get signed in agreement. Is it legal? Please help. Thanks and regards

Depends upon mutual agreement only.

Terms and conditions of any agreement, including the rental, are decided by the parties, here the land lord and tenant.
As such, you cant compare the rents.
If you want the Gr.Floor, you may leave the presently occupied premises after completion of its tenancy period and then go to the lower rented premises.

If not ready to accept the conditions of landlord / agreement, may change the premises / flat.
