Sir my question is after registration of land . If sum mistake find in deeds that is total area of land correct mention in map but lenth of area wrongly mentioned in the place width and vis of verse . Can I rectifican the deed without stamp duty which I have been paid at time of land registration?

No. the executive instructions are given by the IG of Registration of a State. so they are vary from State to State. however rectification deed requires Stamp duty if the total extent or measurement are completely changed. they are called matrial alterations. any material alteration requires stamp duty and fees. Only clerical mistake does not require stamp duty.

BUT I don't agree with above-noted expert on the ground that he has failed to clearly read the query which says that there is a clerical mistake in the sale-deed. The dimensions in the enclosed map and deed are different hence it shall be regarded as a clerical error which needs no additional stamp duty than already paid.
