Hi
I am a gynaecologist working at Fatehabad civil hospital in Haryana health department .I am working on contract basis .The contract is between doctor and civil surgeon for 11 months every year .
I am forced to work for 24\7 .no holidays ,since I am a gynaecologist I have to go in nights for performing surgeries for baby birth Caesarian operations .
So my question is what are my duties and where can I get documentary proof of duties .

If you are competent doctor then find another engagement instead of wasting time on litigation etc.

go through your contract (service agreement) and work according to the terms as settled in contract, if you are bound to work beyond terms make complaint to the CMO/Health minister.

Look into service rules applicable and these might specify that you have to attend emergencies.
You can also check with Local unit of IMA.

In any case the employment is contractual for 11 months and you are at liberty to find another job suitable to you.

If you intend to move to private practice later use the opportunity to build rapport and be popular with your care and expertise for patients.
In private practice Dr’s usually look for emergencies.
It fetches revenue.

The groups and gangs are visiting profiles of querist and asking for work and money. It is virtually like ringing doorbells knocking on doorbells. Such groups,gangs, gang members, gang leaders are lowliest in the lowly and are lowering the image and repute of LCI and experts.

Service contract is required to be referred, it can never be a condition to be present/work 24x7 in the hospital/ nursing home (as the case may) as stated by you since it is humanly impossible. Probably it may be your availability (on call) 24x7, for which you are adequately been compensated, isn't it?
If so, review the terms and conditions of the contract.
