My uncle expired in the month of Sep2009, served almost 36 years with Health Department under Punjab Government. Kindly suggest which payments(like ex gracia, PF, gratuity etc) will be released to the family and what will be the procedure. Kindly confirm the basis of calculations for those payments, kindly suggest..

Dear Mr.Kumar V,
Go and represent to the department and provide them with the death certificate, succession certificate/probate in case your uncle has left any will and or the nominee in his official records.

family members are entitled for pension,gratuity,PF etc.The family members have to approach to the deptt.for preparation of pension papers.It is the deptt.will calculate the pension,gratuity etc.

dear kumar,
your family might have already received the benefits like PF balance,gratuity etc by now.
6th pay commission is applicable for central govt employees. The benefits/scales will be as per the punjab government rules.
if your family has not received any of the benefits like pf,gratuity and pension till now, you could raise an rti query to the accountant general,punjab asking for the present position and reasons for the delay

Legal Heirship certificate is a mandatory document for the Government to settle dues to the claimants.
