How to get a certified copy of sale deed executed in 1949

Dear Readers,
Can anyone pls help me in letting me know the process of getting a certified copy of sale deed which was executed in 1949? I have the copy of the same but it is not legible. The property is under Bangalore Corporation limits. Please help me with the process and duration to obtain the same. Regards, Vishal

contact local lawyer. he would take certify copy from Sub-registrar office.

You can directly approach at the SRO office and get a certified copy on payment of the requisite fee, avoid middlemen as far as possible. Any person may obtain certified copy of registered document relating to immovable property you have to a Stamp paper of Rs.10 is required to be produced along with the application and copying fee of Rs.3 for every page of Xerox copy or Rs.5 for every 100 words or part thereof is to be paid

Go to the Office where the original sale deed was registered. Apply for a copy & get one upon payment of the requisite fees.
