Hi Dhingra, I want to get sign in a document from the person who has first class magistrate powers. The document will state that i am living in the current place for the last 25 years and there is no FIR or any other cases on me.
For that i need the person to whom i can approach.
Thats why i asked whether divisional engineers will come in that category.

Although Divisional Engineer is a Gazetted Class-I Government Officer and has the power to attest documents, but he is not declared as a First Class Magistrate.

You need to go to the court of your city where you will be able to know who's who are 1st class Magistrates posted there.
