Sir, I am a State Govt.Pensioner and also an advocate enrolled. I have a personal case in Consumer forum. I indicated in the Complaint Occupation as Pensioner and not as an Advoate. Can I plead myself in the court? Or I have necessarily to engage the services of another advocate?

No where in any court it is mandatory to engage an advocate.
Any person can plead his own case upto SC.

You can represent your case as party in person. You can not represent your self with robes before the forum.

Thanks a lot and am grateful to all those Learned Lawyers for their encouragement and clarifications. I am less experienced in this field. However, your encouragement generates sufficient strength and vigour to fight for my cause. I request you to continue to bestow your valuable advice in future. Thanks again and Regards.
