Sra patra documentation process

SRA Upatra Issue.

One of my Friend has purchased a room from a seller in 2007 in a slum.Now the slum is going for redevelopment under SRA and her name is not there in the list and she is not having any document before 2000.She has got the notice to vacate it.

She has done agreement with the buyer of the house and also name transfer also has been done by landloard.Electricity Bill , Ration Card and Her Adhar Card is also on the same address.

So what documents she need to submit at SRA to make it Patra and where she has to file it.

Can you please tell me the procedure how to complete the documentation process?

SRA documents are cheque with government GR .

Discuss with local lawyer, court has to be approached to protect the interest of your friend.

Mentione documents i.e. Electricity Bill , Ration Card and Her Adhar Card are not proof of ownership of room can be produced in support of claim.

Your friend is not eligible for free housing in my opinion. She won't get any premises.

There is lot misconception about slum and premises therein . Everyone cheat slum dwellers .

They make some documents in front of notary they feel they became an owner.

Then they have a lot of misconception .

SRA officers also take this slum dweller for a ride .

Developers also take slum dwellers for ride so project can be implemented.

In reality money she has invested is wasted , because people residing till 2000 are only eligibile for free houses.

And this is reason she is declared not eligibile

My question is a house is a saleable property and people who are staying in slum cannot afford a house in complexes as you know the rates in mumbai. So they sell house in one slum and take in another.

I just believe this clause is kept active so many people become in eligible and the developer and officers earn a huge sum.

So how can we ask SRA what made them this rule fit in current slum situation in mumbai. As slums are increasing in many parts and people purchase and sell houses.

Sorry, it is full of illegality and violation of the civil and criminal law.

Since the whole area can not be put behind bar for trespass etc neither mass demolition can take place then Slum area act is introduced in congested , unhygienic place.

Now while implementing such project some people suffer , so your friend is suffering , you can not be kind to all , Crores are coming and staying in small island called Mumbai - Thane so nothing can be done

If you still insist then contest decision of Slum authority in proper forum but don't expect free lunch , but result I told you first only

When any slum area declared as slum and dwelling is to consustrcted, survey is declared/made and opportunity is given to occupants to submit residential proof prior since say 2000 within particular time. U failed correct recod in SRA authority. Local lawyer can be contacted for solution
