I am sorry I do not agree at all with Mr. Subramaniam. The private limited company must have been taken over & transferred By an Act of Parliament /Legislative Assembly (depending whether the government company belongs to the Centre/State.)
In any event, such transfers usually do transfer only the assets & not the liabilities to the government company & as such, the government company is not liable to pay your debts.
In all such cases a Commissioner of Payments & disbursal is appointed by the concerned government. He is there only for a limited period & purpose. Once the office is wound up U have practically no chance of recovery of a single rupee.
U R advised to check with the Concerned Dept. & file your claims with the Commissioner for payments. Act fast before it is too late.
