respected sir,
i want to know "how delay in filling chargesheet will help the accused"?

DOUBT ON POLICE ARISES ON DELAY IN FILING OFCHAGE-SHEET.SO ACCUSED WOULD GET BENAFIT OF DOUBT IN MAIN CASE.IF ACCUSED IS IN CUSTODY,THEN HE/SHE WILLL BE A GAINER U/S 167 Cr.P.C IN RESPECT OF BAIL.

It would help you on the point of limitation. If the charge sheet is delayed and filed after the period of limitation,then the accused will stand to benefit on that ground.

I never found nay benefit out of delay.

there are judgments of the apex court that if charge sheet is not filed within three months, the accused must be released on bail.
