Documents required for sale of land

Hi!

My father expired few years ago. We are two children, there is no WILL. We would like to sell a land which is on his name, we are in agreement. Do we need succession certificate or legal heir cert to be able to sell the land ?

Get the legal heir certificate. Your mother is also one of the legal heirs. After getting the legal heir certificate get the property mutated in your names. Then you will be able to sell the property.
