Passport at permanent address

Am working and staying in Gurgaon from April 2010 in a PG. I don't have any rent agreement to show as a address proof for reissue of my passport. I applied for reissue of passport with with this year lease agreement but they are not accepting that and still my application is pending.

Can I reissue passport at my permanent address in Patna(having address proof) where my parents are staying, if so then which column I need to give the permanent address and also do I need to give Gurgaon address in the current residential address.
Please clarify on this as I need to resolve this ASAP.

You will have to show current residential address also where the local police will be supposed to verify your residence proof.

You can give a revised application to the passport authorities.

You have to state patna as your permanent residence and you may state any place as your current residence, but you have to proof the both..
