WHAT IS MEANT BY DISCRIMINATION IN CRIMINAL LAW.........I AM AN ONGC EMPLOYEE. I HAVE DONE B.COM AND MY 5 TO 6 COLLEGUES ARE ALSO NON TECHNICAL PERSONS...BUT ONLY I HAVE BEEN POSTED IN TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT AND ALL THE OTHER EMPLOYEES LIKE ME HAVE BEEN POSTED IN OFFICE (ADMINISTRATIVE SECTION).....CAN ONGC AT ITS DISCRETIONARY POST NON TECHNICAL PERSONS LIKE ME IN PRODUCTION DISCIPLINE..IN ALL OUR NON TECHNICAL EMPLOYEES APPOINTMENT LETTERS IT IS CLEARLY MENTIONED THAT THE POST IS FOR FIELD DUTY BUT ONLY I HAVE BEEN TRANSFERED TO FIELD AND THE REMAINING EMPLOYEES HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE JOB AS PER THEIR QUALIFICATION...........

HOW SHOULD I DEAL THIS ISSUE WITH THE MANAGEMENT. WHAT IS THE REMEDY FOR ME...IS THERE ANY REMEDY UNDER DISCRIMINATION LAW....PL. HELP..ALSO I HAVE NOT BEEN PROVIDED ANY TRAINING LIKE FIRE FIGHTING , SAFETY NORMS ETC....AS PER MINES ACT.

Dear Anonymous,
It would be adviseable for you to concentrate on your work instead of nursing imaginary grouses. You have got a job - you have been allotted a seat to work on. Do the work. The Organization is supreme. You are there for the organization and not the other way around. The organization can utilise its manpower according to its requirements. Just because you have been allotted to a production department, you cannot immediately get into alleging that "THERE IS CRIMINAL DISCRIMINATION etc. etc." What is criminality in this? Did they ask you to handle any machines - or to analyse the chemical contents of the produce - or to think ways and means how to increase production, or to indulge in production planning etc. etc.? What do you mean by production discipline. Even when you have been allotted in the production discipline, what job is expected of you.

I AM AFRAID, IT IS NOT THE WAY TO START ONE'S CAREER.
