Maintenance for shop in a co-operative hsg. soc.

Dear All,

My Query is that the newly formed Co-operative hsg. society is charging me 4 times the maintaneance charges as compared to flats. If the maintenance for Flat is Rs. 4 then is charging me Rs. 16/- for the shop . Is there any bye-laws of how much the society can charge me.

ask the society to give in writing basis of charging heavy maintenance charges . charges depend upon area of premises

There is no law of discrimination in any bye-laws as you are facing. You should resist and should insist of equal treatment failing which serve a legal notice and then a civil suit.
