Documents at cross examination

dear sir

in this forum i had asked the question earlier if addditional documents can be produced at cross examination of the witness with consent of the court or is consent not required.

i got various answers.

i want to know what is the legal position.

is the permission of the court required or is the discrretion with us.

All the documents are marked with the permission of the court only.

Normally the court will allow to produce additional documents during the cross examination.

if it shown to refresh the memory of the witness it is not necessary to get permission. But marking the relevancy is questioned only after according sanction by court it can be marked.
