what is appreciation of evidence? How do Courts appreciate a a evidence given by a single witness?

the single evidence is when primary evidence then only appreciate.

Appreciation of evidence means to find grains out of chaff.
When A Judge apply his mind to discover the truth from the evidence which was put before him. There are some set principals of laws to help a judge to take inference from the evidence which are contemplated in Evidence act.

The Evidence act has three segments:
1- Abt relevancy of the facts sec-5 to 55
2- Abt Proofs 56 to 90
3- Abt Manners to produce evidence before the courts 91 to end

The third segment is consist of rules for appreciation of evidence.
