Sir,
My land has been acquired by National Highway Authority for the expansion of NH 8a, 3d notification has been issued in local newspapers.
Can I get any idea about rewards they give or what are the best rewards given in similar projcets.
What we have heard is that they are going to consider only Jantry, but the actual prices of land are nearly 15 times higher than the jantry rate
Please help
Thanks and regards

Yes Mr. Sethi is right. Check out in sub registrar's office about the sale deeds recorded in past, start preparation to contest the quantum ,they always propose lower rates than prevalent in market.

sir,
Thanks for taking care ... Since last six months the lands which have been sold are at higher prices but they all follow the jantry to save money in terms of stamp duty and white money.....
I also heard about the Yamuna Express Way in that the remuneration has been given as per the market rate and not as per the jantry rate, is it true ?
We have also submitted some details of payment by the party in case of acquisition for Pipe line they have paid as per the market rate but, the NH people says that because there was private party they have paid as per the market rate and this being govt. body we will follow only jantry rate
please help
Thanks again

You can ask the concerned authorities to compensate you as per market rate. On their failure to accede to your request, you can challenge the same by way of filing a writ.

Claim compensation as per market rate ( which you will get information from the Sub-registrar office)to the Collectorate of Land in your District. If it is not adequate then file a Writ Petition in High Court.

1.you need to do home work for compensation amount as advised.
2.If objection would invited, you should submit the same.
3. If amount would less awarded then go to the high court.
