Any party who does not attend any case or legal proceeding going against him despite his knowledge ,the court /officer /or arbitrator has only one option that is to proceed exparte against the absent party.

Ex-parte order.
ESTHERPRIYA (Expert) 11 October 2011
Exparte order will be ordered and execution will be done in your way. You need to get a stay of the Arbitration proceeding in the court where you are living.

experts have already opined that exparte order will be passed.after passing of exparte order claimants will execute the order against your property .

if you have a good case on merits engage a lawyer in place wherein arbitration proceedings are being held .

if you dont have good case on merits and cant afford legal fees try to settle the case .

I agree with Experts.

Though you said suit, but you have not clarified, whether claims are made against you before arbitrator or after arbitrator passed award in favour of you and against the award other party filed case before court.

If it is only arbitration proceedings before arbitrator, even without your presence, arbitrator has to proceed on material on record and pass a reasoned award. He cannot make any ex parte order.
