Utilisation or sale of property

Myself and elder brother having equal share in a land by way of legalheirship situated in Chennai.

Due to some reasons, my brother is not allowing me to use the land and even not allowing for sale of land.

Please advice How to get my share

Request him to share half and half.

If he does not listen then either service him with registered notice of demand of partition
(which is legally not necessary)or directly file the suit in court at Chennai.

No other alternate possible.

One thing more if you have a buyer ready and the property is open land without boundary and door you can sell it directly.
