How did he give half the house to his friend ? was it through a gift deed ?

and merely because he stole the documetns - he cannot become the owner or sell the property further. Property cannot be sold without the concurrence of your father.

You seek certified copies of sale documents pertaining to your house from area sub-registrar and also revenue records.

Certified copies of registered sale deed can be had from the office of the Registrar of the properties.

You can get the documents from the office of registrar and even from the office of municipal authorities.

There is no use to repeat queries on many threads.
