Employee transport

Dear Experts,

We are running a Call Centere and providing pick up and drop facility for our employees.
However there are some employees not availing the Transport facility and using their own.
We take responsibility for the people who are availing transport facility till they reach home,
Kindly let me know the status of people using their own transport, do the company is resposible if anything happens to them on the way or if the swiped out and left from the company the resposibility lies with them.

Please clarify.

Unless the place of employment falls under some danger zone for which the employer provides some duty bound safety measures. no employer is responsible for safety of employee while attending or leaving the place of work. So whatever the employees who use their own transport face is their fate for which you are not responsible at all.

Get the undertaking from those employees who are not using the transport facility that they do not want to avail company's transportation facility at their own will and that the management would not be held responsible in any way for any untoward happening in way when coming to office for duty and returning back after duty hours.

The employee is covered while going to attend office and after leaving office for home..
