Charges for issuing various documents

i asked my housing society to issue documents pertaining to our flat.
for this purpose my society is asking me to pay rs 500 please tell me whether it is legal or not
list of documents are as follows
1)society registration copy
2)share certificate copy
3)occupation certificate copy
4)approved plan copy
5)Index II

yes, they can take some amount for it.

society can charge you Rs 10 per page .if total number of pages to be xeroxed is 50 then Rs 500 would be the charge

There is no prescribed law on this subject so it depends upon the rule of the society.
