This query is : Resolved
Whether a charitable trust can be revoked...?
Indian Trust act 1882 does not apply to charitable trusts.
and no useful information was obtained from
charitable and religious trust act 1920.
Then if trustees want to dissolve charitable trust after the death of a settlor is there any way for the same...?

Though you query is academic and according to policy decision, do not deserve to be replies but I am violating this general decision just for the word charity included in your trust.
There is a clause in you trust deed that if trustees are unable to run it then it can be got merged in another trust/society having the similar aims and objects after properly accounting for.
You can opt this option.

Thanks to experts for replying.
with due respect I want to share that this query was not academic ,it was asked by a real charitable trust's trustees after the death of the settlor & no clear way was found, therefore expert advice was sought.
