depends upon court wherein your matter is pending . interim maintenance orders may be passed within 3 months to a year

prabhakar singh (Expert) 08 June 2013
DV case has wider scope than 125 .Time in passing interim maintenance orders may not be much delayed.
V R SHROFF (Expert) 08 June 2013
It is certainly Faster, Once you Apply under sec 23 of DV ACT.

Dv Summons are served within 2 days, 125 may not be served in few months also.

DV One can ask Questioneries , Inspection of Documents like Civil procedure, It is not avl in 125 Cr.p c.
Residence order, rtn of stri dhan not avl in 125 cr p c , ans allowed in DV.

Thare are Lots of Advantages over and above Cr.pc 125: So Prefer DV.

Time can be even less than 2 months [60 days] Depends on court work load, Both Advocates, parties behaviours.
