Sealing a property

Dear,
This is Hasim Shaikh. I have purchased a room in a chawl around 1.5 yrs back. It is a welfare society. The family which used to live in this room has some legal cases against them for a fight with one of the neighbour who happens to be the chairmail of the society as well. They had used some blade or razor to injure one of the family member of the chairman. Their case is subjudised.
With the help of some local people, they managed to calm down the chairman & manage to sell their room to Mr XX from whom I have purchased this room. I have all the proper legal paper & society NOC with me.
Since that family is not appearing in the court for quite some time now, police has approached me to give their details. Since I was the 3rd party, I don't have their details & whereabout?
Now police is telling me that there is a court order if absconding people are not traced within a week, then they will seal the room.
Can you tell me if they can do any such thing within law as neither I was the direct buyer from them nor I know them (have not even seen them).
I have all legal documents, ration card, electricity bill in my name for the said room.
In case police have any such power, what are the options available with me?
Can I ask for the copy of the court order from police & take stay on the same or all this is just a threat by police?
Interesting part is that the chairman is always aware of all the selling & purchasing of this room & have signed NOC for the room, if she had any issue with deal, she could have objected at the time of deal.
Would be greatful if you can help me on this.
Thanks a ton in advance.
Best Regards/-

you are a bonafide purchaser of value . you have the requisite documents for purchase of the property . if accused has absconded it is duty of cops to trace them . give them address of seller through whom you purchased the property . tell the cops to ascertain address from the seller .
attachment of property can be done if accused was owning room wherein you are staying

Thanks a lot Ajay Sir,
That is what even my understanding was.
I just want to confirm with your experience & knowledge whether cops can forcefully do any such thing? What are legal options available with me?
Because at 1st place I don't even know whether court has passed any such order & if yes what can be done legally?
Once again thanks a ton for your valuable time.
Best Regards/-

if any such order is passed by court it would be communicated to you . in your defence you can produce documents showing that you are bonafide purchaser of value and absolute owner of the room . contact a local lawyer
