True certifed copy lost just before submitting proofs on date

Respected Adv,

What to do when very important true ceritified copy ( as proof ) lost just before submission of Proofs in court on date. I have photocopy of true certified copy.

Thanks, I have already applied but what is the procedure to submit it again as court has given last date. Should I submit photocopy and then actual.

Obtain fresh certified copy from the authrities, move an application to the court for some more time to submit certified copy, meanwhile produce photocopy

You have the Burden of proof for originalty of doc. Prove it.

A photostat copy of a true certified copy is not admissible in evidence in any circumstance for being copy of a copy.

If the original of the document lost is a public one another certified copy should be applied for.
In case it was not a public document another certified copy should be got prepared as it was made earlier.
