Sir, I wish to sale my house property and I make agreement to sale with buyer. In this property, there is tenant from since last 5 years. Who are not ready to vacate the same and interested to buy in very less amount (almost half price), I denied its offer. They have issued me legal notice in that he said tenant have first right to buy the property & i can't sell to other. Is that true ? please confirm sir.

NO!THAT IS NOT TRUE. A TENANT HAS NO PREEMPTIVE RIGHT TO BUY MUCH LESS ON HALF OF THE MARKET PRICE. YOU SELL IT YOUR BUYER CAN GET HIM EVICTED MORE EASILY THAN YOU AFTER SERVICE OF NOTICE OF BUYING AND NEED OF ACCOMMODATION.
