i am a govt doctor working since 3 years, now doing post graduation as inservice candidate( got the seat 2 months back). i have married to a woman who is Govt doctor (got the job 5 months back) february 2013 . previously she worked as contract govt doctor. she is having maniac disorder and using medication for that.
since one year she is not staying with me for simple reasons .i tried with help of elders but unable to succed. one month back she gave proposal that if i quit the PG medical course and shift to her residing place.then she will consider to stay with me.
i refused do that and told her i will come weekly once because i will get one day leave and she is working 500 km awy from my study place(PG course is for 3 yrs).her reltives beaten me for not quitting the course .
Then she wants to take divorce and asking huge money as compensation, if i didnt give she is threatning to file false dowry harassment and domestic violence case on me. (we dont have children.)
Will that case can affect my studies? if yes how?
will that case can affect my Govt job if stay more than 48 hrs in custody?
how can i prove it is false dowry harassment case?
shall i take anticipatory bail?

1. Yes it will adversely affect your studies as you shall not be able to concentrate on your studies peacefully.
2. If you remain in custody for 48 hours or more you shall be suspended from service till your case is finally over.
3. Collect/ create evidences to prove against the version/averments of your wife.
4. AB can be sought/granted only after lodging of FIR against you.
5. Engage, consult and seek further advise from a prudent local lawyer

Do not quit your studies for the sake of buying temporary relief. She being a doctor in profession should not come with such a proposal and you simply ignore it.
Whether your marriage is arranged one or love marriage or net-love marriage? Doctors couple should have the best understanding, otherwise they cannot live peacefully. You do not have understanding since beginning then where is the peaceful life?
Regarding your queries:
You should forget about that you are married and continue your studies with full concentration.
Obtain AB once the police file FIR. Avoid arrest otherwise you will be suspended if the custody is for more than 48 hours.
Let them initiate their steps. You maintain calmness and concentrate on your studies. If they notice that you are ignoring them, there will be change in their thinking. Never yield to the threats in life if you have not committed any wrong. Introspect yourself and correct yourself if there is any such reason which contributed to the present situation.

file for AB only after FIR is filed . SC has recently laid down guidelines in 498A cases . unless prima facie case is made out you wont be arrested

Generally police do not take action against the wives so better to file a criminal complaint in this regard with an application under section 156(3) of Criminal Procedure Code.

The experts have addressed your subject very well. thus, you can either wait for her to lodge the apprehended false case against you, get ab for that and go around casually or you prefer a complaint against her in advance so that you are taking a precaution against her possible assaults against you.
