You can notify the correct name by Gazette publication and enclose the same along with the certificates. No correction could be done in the certificates.

it is a typographical mistake . you can make application to board to correct the typographical mistake in your mark sheet
Poonam Kadam (Querist) 14 April 2015
how should i apply to board?
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 14 April 2015
You should apply the board. Generally the Boards have a printed form and prescribed fees structure for such rectification. Consult the board.

what is the procedure to apply the board sir? and how much time it will take?
M V Gupta (Expert) 14 April 2015
Instead of raising doubts and asking query after query, write a letter to the HSC Board for correction of the spelling mistake in ur fathers name. Enclose marks lists of HSC and SSC certificates and ask for correction of the name as appearing in the SSC certificate. As it is typographical error on the part of the HSC Board, there may not be any fee payable. U may however state in ur letter that if any fee is payable u will pay the same on advice.

Well explained by expert Mr. Gupta, you may follow his advises and suggestions made thereto.
