Hi Sir, I belong to christian community(BC) and my wife belong to Hindu (BC) . Is the employment preference for govt job . do we are eligible for it. To whom we need to contact about this sir.Please help. We both are graduates.

BC status for the employment for christians is not available in all States, however, your wife is entitled to avail such status.

I hold a slightly different view.

Caste status is acquired only by birth and does not change with marriage.

Consult local administrative office for certificate ad apply when post advertised. Caste is based on birth.

It is vaguely remembered that some query as per some scheme issued in state of Tamilnadu by the CM was referred as providing some benefits.

The author may approach the authority appointed by state govt in his state,for such schemes,if any.
