(Querist) 08 January 2018 This query is : Resolved
Dear sir/madam
I have let my house for lease ,I want to know who should have the original lease agreement bond.. leassor or leassee.?..as leasee is demanding for original bond...
kavksatyanarayana (Expert) 08 January 2018
Generally with the owner of the property. if lessee wants give him a certified copy of the lease deed.
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 09 January 2018
The original lease deed should be with the lessee.
For example, if you are a buyer of the property, the original sale deed will be with you as a purchaser and not with the Seller.
Similarly, the original lease deed should be with the lessee.

Mr. Ramachandran has advised you correctly. As a proof of lease and possession of the property in question, the lease document should be with the lessee.

In leasing the property is temporary to the possession of the leasee..does that mean I am selling the property?
