Muslim Women's Act (Protection of Rights of Divorce ) with Code of Criminal Procedure Act 1973 . A Divorced Muslim woman is entitled to reasonable and fair maintenance from her former husband and that should be paid with in the period of Iddah only. Liability of the husband to pay the maintenance is restricted to the period of Iddah only.

The divorced wife is entitled for maintenance even after iddat period.
