Respected Sir, I have to file a writ against some erring govt. officials, who have acted in corrupt manner and made a false report and an order against me. Three months have passed, but I have filed appeal within time against that order. What is the time limit to file a writ in the HC in this regard? Thanks in advance.

There is no time limit for liling writs only thing is that you have to give plausible explaination if exceptional delay.

Limitation does not apply to writ petition and availability of alternative forum is no ground to reject writ petition? However, the Court is subject to its own limitation in entertaining writ petition: It very much depends on the wisdom of the Judge.

Sir, Thanks for the prompt reply. I wish to file it at Jharkhand HC, on the issue of corrupt practice/malpractice, high handedness, procedural defects and other irregularity meted out in the said report/order. Can they prepare record of two year in one day. Moreover I have filed appeal to set aside that impugned order. But Appellate authority too is neck deep in corruption and asks huge bribe. There also I may not get justice. All revenue court are of same feather.
