Cross Examination under 138

I am the complainant in a cheque bouncing case and the matter is kept for corss examination on 1st of this December. What kind of questions are anticipated from the defence lawyer so that I can be prepared ? What should be my stand if the OP offers a compromise ? Please guide.

You can not perfectly guess what the opponent will cross ,the basic plan is always to demolish your story by confusing you .

If compromise is offered accept without a moments hesitation.

The cross examination must be based on your complaint petition and you examination in chief.

Yes as we do not know the merit of your case, your advocate would be better equipped to answer this query.
In general , the opposite party would try to establish that there was no debt due to you n respect of which the cheque was drawn.
