Consumer court awards-type of interest

how is the interest calculated for consumercourt awards-ie.whether simple interest or compound,when,it is mentioned only as 12% interest from the date of complaint?

Unless specifically indicated as "compound interest", it is only simple interest.

It is calulated as simple interest because in award compound interest is not specifically mentioned
